FINAL PARADE APPEARANCE DETAILS

We are closing in on our final parade of the year....

 The Chandler Parade of Lights!!!

When:                  Saturday, December 1

CALL TIME:        Drumline                                3:00 PM

                           Football, Cheer, Robotics   3:30 PM

Where:       Historic Downtown Chandler:  FOR DRIVERS AND PARENTS, We will have maps on Saturday.  THE ONLY VEHICLES ALLOWED IN THE STAGING AREA ARE THE FLOAT AND FLOAT TRUCK.  All others, including the Drumline equipment truck, must park away from downtown.

4 PM Departure from School

Parade Staging starts at 4:30, JUDGING STARTS AT 5:30

Parade begins at 7 pm, Parade Route is through Historic Downtown Chandler 

We are ENTRY NUMBER 18…

We will need to transport about 45 including managers... 

Only the float is allowed in the staging area we will have to unload the Truck in the parking area....   

Closest Parking is P4 or P5. 

De-staging

De-staging occurs in two locations.  Mr. Hammel, Mr. Salemi and Mr. B. will dismantle the float in the parade staging area.  Mr. Templeton and Mr. Baba will lead the load out of instruments in the truck, but the more help, the quicker we will be able to return to school.  We should be home by 9:00 pm

DRUMLINE WILL BE PERFORMING AT ALL HOME GAMES, and we will be IN THE HOUSE for Away Games (except Orme, in Prescott)

MADISON DRUMLINE GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Drumline rehearsals will be on Monday- Thursday, from 3:30-5:30 pm, during HOME FOOTBALL GAME weeks.  Friday= GAMETIME!!!   During weeks with NO HOME FOOTBALL GAME, Drumline rehearsals will be M-F from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Rehearsal will be at Madison Prep or a neighborhood park.
  • Please pickup your student from practice by 5:45. 
  • Students or their parents MUST notify Mrs. B by phone or text if they are unable to be at any Drumline practice or game for any reason.  Mrs. B can be reached at 602-369-1844.  IF YOU DIDN'T TELL MRS. B, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO YOU TOLD!!!
  • Drumline AND Color Guard MUST have a JMPS physical form turned in and the Drumline fee paid to Mrs. Grant.  Students will not be allowed to perform until these requirements are met.  DUE DATE- 24 August- NO FEE OR PHYSICAL BY 24 AUGUST, YOU MAY NOT PRACTICE OR PERFORM.
  • BE ADVISED: If you don’t know your music or your marching routine, you may not perform.  Coaches make the go/no go decision on individual students on the Thursday before the next home game. 
  • Students must have a water bottle.  Hat, sunscreen and sunglasses are also a good idea, but will not be provided. 
  • Uniforms, instruments, etc., are the property of Madison Prep, and must be properly maintained.  Damage to uniforms or instruments may be charged to Drumline members.  The school takes care of laundering all uniform tunics and hats. 
  • Members of Drumline MUST wear all black shoes (no other color on the shoe is permissible, including all black laces, no white or other color soles or decorations on the shoes), all black socks, all black T-shirts (no logos, with sleeves) and black slacks to ALL DRUMLINE performances.  Any exceptions to this will be announced ahead of time.  
  • Drumline will be marching in at least 2 parades this year.  Please be sure to keep these dates for Drumline (once details are announced).   
  • Drumline is a commitment: to practice, to rehearse, to perform, to represent, to excellence, to the unit.  DRUMLINE!!!!
