BiographyHello, my name is Jennifer Lewis. I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing faculty at JMPS. I graduated from North Dakota State University with a BS in secondary education and taught high school in Fargo, ND for 6 years. My husband and I then moved our family to Arizona for some warmer weather. Once in Arizona, I taught 4th grade for 8 years; this is where my passion for the progression of mathematical knowledge started. I love watching students become immersed in learning and connecting one piece of their knowledge to the next. I hope to promote a very active classroom where we explore, compare, and discuss our mathematical thinking. When I am not at school, I spend time with my family. We have 6 children with varying interests and activities that keep us very busy. I also love watching sports, especially soccer. In the quiet time I do have, I am also a voracious reader.
