Amy Shaw is loving her time teaching at James Madison Prep and thrilled to be helping students strengthen their literacy in English and the Humanities. Her goal as a teacher is to build students’ confidence in their abilities, believing the Latin adage, Non scholae sed vitae discimus, “We learn not for school, but for life.”

Ms. Shaw is English/French bilingual and excited to be advising the French Club. Originally from the east coast, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Arizona State University and is a long-time resident of Tempe. In her spare time, she does voice acting and works for Phoenix Fan Fusion as a ballroom moderator, interviewing actors and authors from all sorts of fandoms.
